Pretty neat,

launching through the tube solves some issues. This combined with a couple better ones you could make a monster of a good system. For Baylands this wouldn't work in its current setup and would need to be scaled up. One thing Warren did that was nice is make it stabilized on the ground rather than your extended arm allowing you to use more energy on the pull back. This couple with the tube idea and creating a cross bow arming system would be very nice.

George is developing a crossbow shaped slingshot, that has chances of being quite effective.
He helped me to rescue my Ugly Stick during the fly-in.,
We tried his simple slingshot , fishing pole and reel, without much success.

The wind eventually did its fine job of returning the plane in about 1 hour.

Nonetheless, we tried the crossbow, for fun, and he is making some further improvements..

We'll see .. (the blind man said...)
